The Rainbow Bridge

A large suspension bridge crossing Tokyo Bay, it was completed in 1993. You can read more about here

I only recently discovered there are pedestrian passages, so I decided to get my exercise and make the trip.

Some shots from the interior. The bridge has two decks for traffic, and the lower deck (where the walkways are) also convey a train. Incredibly noisy.

Odaiba

At the eastern end is the man-made island of Odaiba, where a fort was constructed in the 1850's, after the shocking arrival of Commodore Perry's ships. You can read more about here
