Cherry Blossoms

The annual blossoming cherry trees, from various locations around my neighborhood

This is a larger park about 5min walk away. Always filled with kids

Tokyo Skytree

Currently (April 2013) the second tallest structure in the world. It's a broadcasting tower but has observation lounges near the top

Always good for some strange things, and background textures

It's ERIC, the crime fighting octopus! Actually he's collecting garbage...	A variety of small, dried fish. Eat them plain, in a salad, etc
Katsuobushi (flakes of dried skipjack tuna) used in soup stock or a topping for tofu, etc. It is so thin that when placed on anything hot, the heat waves make it move about, almost likes it's dancing	All the dried squid you could ever hope to eat	Well, what's funnier than chopping the head off a tuna, and using it to display your "open" sign!	Very popular ramen shop, on outskirts of the market
